Hawaiian Meatballs & Lil Smokies







I originally saw this shared in an Instant Pot Community Facebook group and they said their boys loved them and couldn't wait to dig in once the lid was released. They suggested serving with rice to make it a meal or as an appetizer as the original blog Devour Dinner had meant for it to be used.

 Ingredients:

  • 32 Meatballs Frozen
  • 32 Lil Smokies 14oz pkg
  • 1 Can Pineapple Chunks
  • 1 Cup BBQ Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Apricot Preserves
  • 1 1/2 Water

Instructions

Instant Pot Directions

  1. Add Frozen Meatballs, Lil Smokies and Water to Instant Pot / Pressure Cooker
  2. Set to Pressure Cook for Zero (0) Minutes. Use the +/- Keys to Adjust to Zero
  3. Quick Release Pressure and Drain and discard Liquid
  4. In a separate bowl combine BBQ Sauce and Apricot Preserves. Stir until mostly smooth
  5. Add Drained Pineapple Chunks, and BBQ Sauce to Hot Meatballs and Weenies. Stir
  6. Set Instant Pot to Saute to Caramelize Sauce if Desired
  7. Serve with Toothpicks for an Easy Appetizer

Crock Pot Directions

  1. Add Frozen Meatballs, Lil Smokies, Drained Pineapple Chunks, BBQ Sauce and Apricot Preserves to Crock Pot and Stir to combine
  2. Set to Low for 3-4 hours or until heated through

Serve with Toothpicks
